Tonight I placed the order for my frames for task 5 on my list: mat and frame my photos for the bedroom. I decided on one 18x24 frame to hang over the bed, with two 16x20 frames to accompany either side (all horizontal). I also chose six 8x10 frames to hold various photos, one of which won't be mine but one I found on etsy that would look great with my theme. You can see it here. I already have my purple delphinium in a 20x24 frame over my dresser, and a reproduction of Georgia O'Keefe's poppy that I painted with acrylics waaaaay back in high school. So things are coming along nicely! Now I just need to order the larger mats-- and send out the larger photos to the lab.
As for my other projects... eeks. I haven't been able to even look at them yet, because life has kept me very busy! This past weekend I had to make a baptismal cake for our friend, so any sewing time I had was converted over to baking time. I'm hoping to make a dent in my projects this weekend, but tulip season is starting in the Litchfield hills so I may be tempted to run up there and photograph them instead...
How is everyone else's projects going?

Spring Cleaning Challenge!
Ellia of Greenbean Baby Art came up with a great spring cleaning challenge. (Any lingering craft projects that have been collecting dust qualify... see her blog for full instructions.) I just made it in at the last minute (a day late of deadline) thanks to the fabulous Nicole, who saw my post on Ellia's site. I had mentioned interest in the challenge, but didn't have any sponsors. So she took care of that! Nicole is sponsoring five projects of mine, that need to be completed by May 12. I better get started! :)
Here is my official list, for entry's sake. I plan on updating this blog to show the progress of the following projects.
1. Complete my wrap skirt started a month ago but not close to being done!
2. Complete my valentine's day tablecloth -- from fabric that was cut 1.5 years ago!!
3. Create window draft dodgers from fabric I purchased in November 2007.
4. Create fabric booklet: Animals Around the World... for my friend's son. (I missed his birth in March. Oops.)
5. Project: Matt and Frame my flower photographs for bedroom--not yet sure of number but enough to cover walls nicely.
So there it is! I'm excited! :)
Spring in Connecticut!
Etsy seller Lauren Tagliatela is offering beautiful photos of the cherry blossom trees in New Haven. I'm especially in love of her cherry bomb photo, listed below.
If it isn't already obvious, flower photos are my weakness. Kudos to Lauren-- now I have some new ones to add to my collection! :)

Etsy Find: Woolpets
I have fallen in love with Woolpets. These adorable needle-felted pieces are created by Laurie, who shears, washes, cards and dyes the wool from her sheep. Since January 2007, she has already made over a 1,200 sales on Etsy!
I think it's amazing that such life-like creatures can be made from a little bit of wool. Check out her store to see more!

Spring!
I found these gorgeous tulips yesterday during my lunch break. At the local garden shop, they were grouped in with the after Easter sale-- 50 percent off. Most of its neighbors looked a little past their prime, but these beauties still had a lot of life left in them! So I paid my $10 and took them home.
This is my favorite shot from last night. Look for more in the coming days.
