The Debut of the Sun Catchers!

Tonight I listed the first of my sun catchers on Etsy. I hope it's the beginning of something wonderful! :)

Time to Think "Irish!"

My photography find for this week highlights the work of Joe Cashin. This talented photographer has beautiful, scenic views of Ireland. (Below is a photo of County Donegal.) I had the great fortune to be his first customer, and I was extremely surprised to find the 8x10 photograph in my mailbox yesterday! It only took five days to get from Ireland! :) I've got my eye on his "Old Killarney Home" for my next purchase!

Wish You Were Here

Doesn't this just look gorgeous? My (VERY) talented friend Lauren took this photo during a trip to New Zealand. I just love the reflection on the water and the very zen-like quality of this photo. Check it out at her Etsy store!

Rainy Monday

It's rainy, windy and just plain miserable outside today in Connecticut. Overnight I seriously thought a window could get blown out by the force of the winds! So obviously, it's the perfect day to stay inside and just work on my many projects. (Which I can do since I have off from work today!)

Like my Scrabble pendants (below) and my crochet project, which still has a long way to go until it reaches 41 inches tall!

Making the Scrabble pendants has been fun, but I'm still getting hung up on the last stage. For half of my pendants, things are fine. But the sealant I am using plays with the color of my photographs, sometimes giving them an eerie glow or just a blurry look. I think it's time to go back to the craft store and find a different resin (I think I may try Plaid Craft's Dimensional Magic after reading about it online. Hopefully the store carries it!)

Sunday Craft Wrap Up

As usual I'm dipping into multiple projects while I wait for this cold weather to pass. I can't wait for spring in order to run outside and enjoy the longer daylight hours and capture beautiful photos.

In the meantime, I'm still chugging along on my crochet project. I didn't get to work on it too much this week, but I added two rows today.

And I've decided to try my hand at another painting of Lola. I did the rough sketch tonight on a cute little canvas I found last fall in Burlington, Vt.

Back to the work grind tomorrow...

Awesome Wednesday!

Not only was I able to create a treasury today, but two photographs from my store are featured in two different treasury lists! The blue butterfly and arctic fox made their way in!

I'm pumped! :)

Etsy Find

I found a very talented photographer on Etsy tonight that I'm excited to share. His shop is called Thru The Blue. And he has amazing black and white photos. I naturally favor tree photographs, so his "Home at Last" card caught my eye. Doesn't it look beautiful? It makes me want to drive to Alberta, Canada!
