End of March Give Away!
This month's give away is this beautiful orchid photo from our shop! To enter, leave a comment below about how you'll be tackling spring cleaning! Deadline to enter is March 31, 2009! :)
S.L.O.W. a.n.d. s.t.e.a.d.y.! one day at a time with a small chore on each day keeps everything manageable and obtainable - on one day I wash the inside of the windows, on another the outside, a third I'll clean the fridge, the forth I'll vacuum my dryer, vents, pendant lights and entrance rugs (I have hardwood), etc, etc. I don't like to get overwhelmed so this seems to be the only way to get everything done :)
Spring cleaning: I don't really have a good plan, but this has made me think about it! I do know that as soon as our dusty and sooty oil furnace is off for the year and before I start tracking garden dirt into the house :), I have to dust everything, wash some walls, and clean just about every washable fabric in the house. I think I'll try to do one room at a time this year so it won't be so overwhelming.
I love the photo! My spring cleaning is to set one task a day (I have a baby so I'm lucky if that gets done). That way I feel good that I got it done instead of overwhelmed!
I don't even want to think about spring cleaning...sadly, I'll be working on the weekends to clean. I'll start by cleaning out my wardrobe of old clothes, and then move on to organizing my room - and so on until I finish with the kitchen. I always like to do a really thorough kitchen cleaning at the end.
I am actually not spring cleaning yet - the weather here can't decide if it is spring or still winter, and I hate mud. We are going to be tearing apart the living room, so I won't do too much cleaning yet. I just LOVE the picture.
Well, since my husband and I decided to buy a new house 3 weeks after I gave birth to our second child, I had to put a rush on spring cleaning in order to get our house ready to sell! So our cleaning, including windows and baseboards, is already done although I think I may have neglected the ceiling fans...
I would have to say-to clean up the extra bedroom we have and put everything out in the garage that we don't need in there.. Cleaning the garage is the number 1# thing to clean. It will probably take 4or 5 days. Some stuff we will throw away and some donate. pretty pic! thanks jacquecurl@gmail.com
the photo of the gander is nice - and he thought you were out to take away his ladies! and they thought they were going to have a tasty snack?
The orchid photo is lovely! For spring cleaning I usually wash all the winter blankets and pack them away, and over a couple of weeks the curtains are washed too. By this time the windows have been open and a cool, sometimes brisk breeze has been around so there is less dusting to do :) Actually - there is always dusting to do, but it doesn't always get done!

Beautiful photo! I like to paint walls to initiate a fresh new feel to my room. After the mess you gotta clean! LOL

I don't really do a spring cleaning; I try to space everything out evenly. But I have my garden preparation, which is a big deal!

I tackle one task at a time. I started the other day by cleaning out the too small clothes from my son's dresser.

I'll hopefully be able to clean out the barn/back porch. It will be beautiful eventually!

Hi Jen,

Hope Lola is well!
What a gorgeous photo!
Spring cleaning, I do bits at at time!
Only on rainy day weekends. This is the best time of year to be outside in Wilmington, NC.
I'm almost done, I had Spring Fever Early. My upstairs is totally done, I mean everything is done up there. I had to make 2 trips to Goodwill.
Tomorrow I'm washing walls, blahhh.
I am working with the flylady system - or trying to anyway! We are also thinking about painting the kids rooms at some point soon!
Beautiful photograph!
