On the desat one, the background is less intrusive but I like the whole dragonfly on the first one so maybe you could just desat the background and leave the dragonfly in all his glory?Gorgeous shot either way :)
as I said on the POE forum, I think the edited version removed too much vibrancy and drabs out the critter.Still cool shot though, to have gotten that close and not have it flutter away.

The second, tweaked in Photoshop by desaturating the dragonfly but keeping the setting sunlight on his wings.
